Astros Reel Off Another Win
The Houston Astros weathered a fine game by Texas designated hitter Butch Kaiser to upend the Rangers, 5-4, at Minute Maid Park. Kaiser went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. Aaron Shapiro got the save, his 9th in 12 chances. The Astros, now 53-75, have won 6 in a row.

Bryan Johnston drove in one run for Houston. The 24-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Pimbly Nimblebottom. It was his 10th RBI of the season.

"We found a way to get it done," Johnston said.
