					| The Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd. 
 Oakland Athletics starter Nick Kirk pitched a strong game against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field, leading the Athletics to victory, 11-0. Kirk, now 12-7, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs.
 
 The tension was thick in the bottom of the sixth inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Seattle trailing 3-0, Nick Kirk had to get a big out. On a 2-1 fastball, he retired Pavpv Ivanushkin, who flied out.
 
 The win for the Athletics raised their record to 65-60.
