					| Padres Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Giants |
					| The San Diego Padres racked up a win at AT&T Park, bumping off the San Francisco Giants, 5-3. Adam Thompson, who started for San Diego, pitched effectively for his team. Arturo Diaz earned the save for San Diego, his 26th of the year. The Padres now have a record of 61-61 with the win over San Francisco.
San Diego used the bat of Manny Vergara to capture the win. The catcher jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Padres ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"We had a good game plan," Thompson said, "and we were able to execute it."
