					| Blue Jays Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win |
					| The Toronto Blue Jays did just enough to secure a victory over the Detroit Tigers, 6-5, at Comerica Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Spencer Jones. Toronto reliever Tim Franco picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Steve McGaughey took the loss. Zach Ault was called on to finish, recording his 16th save.
Toronto used the clutch hitting of Brock Van Gilder to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 6-5. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Toronto manager Max Meany.

The winning continues for Toronto, with the latest making it 11 straight.
