					| Big Day for Henningar as Giants Down Pirates, 8-3 |  
					| The San Francisco Giants topped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 8-3, with first baseman Jack Henningar playing a big role. Henningar went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Giants in the win. Curt Howland, the winner, goes to 12-5. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 11 strikeouts over 7 innings.  San Francisco occupies second place in the National League West Division at 66-51. 
 With San Francisco leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Henningar hit a fastball from Josh Ambrose for a grand slam home run. It was his 35th home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 7-2.
 
 Henningar called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
