					| White Sox Beat Twins, 6-1 |
					| Getting a good performance from first baseman Dietmar Warmisch, the Chicago White Sox defeated the Minnesota Twins, 6-1. Warmisch went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the White Sox. Rhett Beers was called on to finish, recording his 20th save. Chicago, at 65-49, holds down second place in the American League Central Division.
Had Dieter Knoops not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Knoops hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the White Sox.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Knoops told the Chicago Gazette.
