					| Washington Nationals starter Jason Cheek was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-3. Cheek went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-10.  Philadelphia has now lost 4 consecutive games. 
 The Nationals got a big at-bat from center fielder Bob Melley. For the game, Melley was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run  double. His 12th double of the season gave Washington a 5-3 lead.
