					| Cardinals Need Extra Innings to Top Mets, 7-6 |  
					| Citi Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets. 
 No one was more impactful than Ichiro Toyota in the 7-6 St. Louis win over New York. Toyota, the 15th overall pick in the 2044 draft, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The win was credited to John Fisher in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Robbie Beerbower took the loss. Geoff Mooney was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.
 
 Toyota had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a 2-2 fastball from Casey Cuomo, he banged a 2-run  home run to right-center, giving the Cardinals a 7-5 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Toyota.
 
 "There's no quit in this team," said Cardinals manager Jeff Jones Jr..
