The Texas Rangers beat the Seattle Mariners, 10-3, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Texas right fielder Blake Ballard had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Texas pitcher Brad Kramer got the win, upping his record to 3-4. Greg Burngooch got the loss. Seattle's current losing streak is now 9 games.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Vince Ealy came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Seattle pitcher Kyle Ridgeway, he hit a 1-1 slider for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Texas on top, 5-3.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ealy told the Texas Gazette.
