Crogan Tags Cubs for 5 Hits
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

Bill Crogan is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-7 against the Chicago (APP) Cubs at Baseball City Complex today. The monster effort from the 22-year-old right fielder helped the Kingsport Mets take the win, 32-5.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Cubs manager Jose Sixtos. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

Bill Crogan hit a three-run home run off Bobby Almonte in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Almonte in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Almonte in the 4th, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Almonte in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Bobby Almonte in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

Crogan is batting .283 this season in 84 games with 49 home runs, 104 RBIs and 109 runs scored. He has 83 hits in 293 at-bats.
