					| The Washington Nationals had to overcome a big game from Chicago right fielder Moe Lester to leave Wrigley Field with a victory. And they did, winning 9-8. Lester was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Danny Diaz, the winning pitcher, is now 5-6. He went 5 innings, allowing 6 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 8 and walking 2. David Sly locked down his 21st save. 
 With one out in the top of the first, Darren McCarty Jr. put Washington in front, 2-0, with a 2-run  single. The Nationals went on to win the ballgame.
 
 "We try to keep the mood light around here," said McCarty Jr.. "Winning helps."
 
 The Nationals raised their record to 38-64.
