Thorpe Jr. Slugs Brewers to 6-3 Win
The Milwaukee Brewers topped the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-3, in National League action at Busch Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Milwaukee center fielder and Melbourne, Australia, native Lewis Thorpe Jr.. Milwaukee reliever Cody Autry picked up the win to move to 4-4. Casey Cogdill suffered the loss. The win makes Milwaukee 50-52.

Milwaukee took the lead in the top of the fifth when Thorpe Jr. hit a 3-run home run. His 18th home run of the season made the score 6-3, Milwaukee.

Thorpe Jr. attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
