					| Baker Shackles Los Angeles |
					| The Los Angeles Dodgers had no answer today for California Angels pitcher Jeff Baker. They failed to score a single run against him, losing 9-0. Los Angeles managed only 4 hits off Baker, who had 10 strikeouts.
The extraordinarily popular Baker got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd.

"Angels fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."

In 21 starts this season Baker has notched a 10-8 record and a 3.60 ERA.
