 Houston picked up a win at Minute Maid Park, bumping off the Cleveland Guardians, 6-2. Pitcher Mat Pear was a major reason the Astros emerged victorious. Pear went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 9-6.
 
 Eric Katz, who signed a 5-year contract worth $142,600,000 on 01/22/2048, chipped in for  Houston with a run-scoring  single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
