Behind an impressive start by Bas Kooy, Seattle beat Texas, 6-2. With the win, Seattle pushed its record to 48-39.

The Mariners got a big hit from first baseman Floyd-William Goof. In the bottom of the fifth, Goof pounded a run-scoring double to left. His 16th double of the season put the Mariners ahead, 3-1.
