					| Tigers Clip White Sox, 2-1 |
					| Both teams had their chances, but the Detroit Tigers eventually prevailed.
Detroit starter Aaron Vallejo put a stranglehold on the Chicago offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Tigers to a 2-1 win. Bobby Wright was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 10 save opportunities.

The Tigers got a big at-bat from first baseman Chris Wheatley. For the game, Wheatley went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Detroit a 2-0 lead.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Chicago skipper Jake Turnbull, "and it cost us."

Detroit has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
