Strickland Belts 5 Hits
It was a parade of hits for Dan Strickland of the University of Illinois Fighting Illini at Illinois Field today.

Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Strickland finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Fighting Illini to a 5-4 victory.

"Strickland was really good and we were really bad," groaned Wolverines manager Jeff Jones III. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."

Dan Strickland hit a solo-shot off Henrik Berg in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Henrik Berg in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
