Lucio Baratta did a number on the Fighting Illini in the Wichita State University 27-2 victory today, and the number was 5. The Shockers first baseman banged out 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Illinois Field to lead his club past the University of Illinois Fighting Illini.

"I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."

Lucio Baratta singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Ross Ledford in the 9th.
