Hinojosa Has Hot Hand, Bangs 6 hits
Pennsylvania State University right fielder Rob Hinojosa had a big day at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park today against the University of Illinois Fighting Illini. The 18-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 6-for-7 and led the Nittany Lions to a 34-3 triumph over University of Illinois.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Hinojosa said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Rob Hinojosa hit a two-run home run off Victor Altagracia in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ross Ledford in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ross Ledford in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Ross Ledford in the 7th and walked in the 8th.

Thus far this year Hinojosa is batting .326 with 11 home runs, 27 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
