Steve Dodge kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Wichita State University Shockers were all smiles after winning 10-0 against the University of California Golden Bears at Evans Diamond today. The right-handed Dodge gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 3 strikeouts.
"If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Dodge said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."
