Nishizawa Excels in 8-4 Milwaukee Win
The Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Milwaukee right fielder Akitada Nishizawa contributed to his team's 8-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Nishizawa, who is tied for 10th in the NL in triples with 4, went 4 for 5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Brewers. Dale Ahernfeld picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-2. He struck out 4 in 5 innings.

The Brewers got a big hit from center fielder Lewis Thorpe Jr.. In the top of the fifth, Thorpe Jr. pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 14th home run of the season put the Brewers ahead, 7-2.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Nishizawa.

Milwaukee currently is in 4th place in the National League Central Division at 37-37.
