					| The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Cincinnati Reds, 7-4, at Busch Stadium. Harry Hoop, in particular, was impressive. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Geoff Mooney, now 3-3, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. Bryan Banana recorded the save for St. Louis, his 18th of the season. 
 Jordan Diaz  aided the St. Louis cause with a run-scoring  double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4 with a double.
 
 "We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Diaz told the St. Louis Chronicle.
 
 St. Louis is now 36-38, while Cincinnati is 38-36.
