Late Magic Gets Colorado 8-6 Win
Colorado and Cincinnati duked it out and the Rockies came out victorious.

The timely hitting of Andy Vivas helped the Colorado Rockies down the Cincinnati Reds, 8-6. Vivas was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Rockies. Colorado reliever Tony Campos picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Junpei Yamazaki was tagged with the loss. Tye Dickinson converted his 15th save in 23 tries.

Vivas had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 0-1 fastball from Junpei Yamazaki, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Rockies a 7-6 lead. It was the 11th double of the year for Vivas.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Rockies manager Nicholas Carrey Jr.. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The 4th-place Rockies have a record of 34-37.
