Artz Catches up on Yard Work -- Slams 4 Homers
Hitting a single home run is a tough task. Hitting two in a game is impressive. Hitting three is remarkable. Anything beyond that is borderline unbelievable -- yet that's what Chris Artz did today in the 39-0 Kingsport Mets victory over the Chicago (APP) Cubs.

Artz went 4-for-5 with 4 home runs and drove in 7 runs in a once-in-a-lifetime feat that the opposing manager later labeled "impossible."

"I don't believe it really happened," Cubs manager Jose Sixtos joked to BNN reporters afterward. "I don't ever enjoy losing a game, but this kid was special today. I have never seen a guy hit 4 in a game before. I didn't enjoy it, but it was special."

Chris Artz hit a two-run home run off Bobby Almonte in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Masato Iwase in the 2nd, struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Masato Iwase in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Masato Iwase in the 8th.

In 45 games this season Artz has batted at a .331 pace with 54 hits and 17 home runs.
