					| Luckwell Helps Oakland Cruise to 10-3 Win |
					| Oakland third baseman Jerry Luckwell helped his team beat the Houston Astros, 10-3. Luckwell, who finished 2nd in the AL in runs with 186 in 2035, went 2 for 3 for the Athletics. Corbin Schenn, the winning pitcher, is now 8-2. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 0. Oakland's record now stands at 33-35, placing them 4th in the American League West Division.
Randy Shrewsbury, the two-time Great Glove Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Shrewsbury contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Oakland up, 1-0.

"We maximized our offense today," said Oakland skipper Daryl S. Oakland. "That makes everyone's life easier."
