Omar Quintana did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Reds from losing, 7-4, to the Miami Marlins at Great American Ball Park. Quintana went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Sean Geer. He's now 5-5. He went 8.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 13 hits for the Marlins. Miami bumps their record to 26-36 with the win.

Miami used a well-timed hit by Jimmy Groseclose to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Marlins ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"It feels good to get this one," Groseclose told the Miami Today.
