					| Chicago White Sox starter Xenophon Valvis pitched a strong game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at U.S. Cellular Field, leading the White Sox to victory, 2-1. With the win, Chicago raised its record to 32-27. 
 The White Sox got a big at-bat from center fielder Randy Rosenberry. For the game, Rosenberry went 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo  home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Chicago a 1-0 lead.
 
 Rosenberry attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
