The fans at Minute Maid Park witnessed quite a game.
The Houston Astros topped the Seattle Mariners, 4-3, in American League action at Minute Maid Park. The standout performance belonged to Houston pitcher and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, native Mat Pear. The Astros raised their record to 25-28.
The Astros procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Eric Katz. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"Mat was throwing strikes, locating well," said Houston manager Dave DaSilva.
