					| California Angels starter Gus Morante was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Houston Astros, 4-1. Morante got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Morante allowed no runs. California goes to 29-19. The win puts them 3½ games up in their division. 
 The Angels got a big at-bat from third baseman Preston Deakyne. For the game, Deakyne went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run  double. His 14th double of the season gave California a 2-0 lead.
