St. Louis wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Antonio Lacayo, falling to the Colorado Rockies, 6-5. Lacayo threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Nate Dallman notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 1-2. The third-place Rockies now have a win-loss record of 19-20.

The most significant at-bat for Colorado came with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the ninth. Rockies shortstop Jon Munoz hit a 2-run triple to win the game.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Munoz, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
