					| Athletics Handled by Minnesota, 4-1 |
					| Minnesota rode a fine outing from starter Bud Puffer to victory over the Oakland Athletics at O.co Coliseum. The final score was 4-1. In 7 innings, Puffer surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Inkei Wakamatsu closed the door for Minnesota, picking up his 4th save of the year.
Minnesota used the bat of Will Leslie to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Twins ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Puffer. "Successful pitchers do it."

With the win, Minnesota pushed its record to 22-16.
