					| Nationals Handled by Miami, 5-2 |
					| Miami Marlins starter Matt Payne was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Washington Nationals, 5-2. Picking up the save was Chris Funderburg, his 1st. With the win, Miami has a record of 17-22. Washington falls to 17-21.
The Nationals had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Marlins going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old right fielder Jose Bregaro came to the plate. Bregaro hit a bases-clearing double on a 2-1 cutter from Washington hurler Chad Mangum. It was Bregaro's 7th double of the year.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Bregaro. "And not try to do too much."
