The Houston Astros picked up a win at Rogers Centre, knocking off the Toronto Blue Jays, 3-2. Starting pitcher Brian Lynch was a big reason why. Lynch got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. Lynch allowed 2 runs. Bill Dillard got the save, the 4th for him this season.

Houston used the timely hitting of Jeremy Trump to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Astros ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Trump said after the game.

At 16-20, Houston is in last place in the American League West Division.
