Eric Tiehen really sizzled at the plate in today's 21-6 win over Yankees. The Vermont catcher blistered Staten Island for 5 hits in 7 at-bats.

"Tiehen was too tough to get out today," the Yankees skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."

Eric Tiehen singled in the 1st, hit a three-run triple in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Currently Tiehen is batting .542 with no home runs and 10 RBIs.
