Texas got a strong outing from Pimbly Nimblebottom as the Rangers defeated the California Angels, 3-2, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Texas pitcher Mark Lopez got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Riichi Yamashita got the loss. Texas now owns a record of 18-20.

Texas used the clutch hitting of Blake Ballard to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Nimblebottom.
