					| John Sanders made an impact in the 7-5 Washington win over Arizona. Sanders, who is tied for 10th in the NL in triples with 2, was 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The winner was Jon Glenn in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Tong-myeon Moon took the loss. The Nationals sit in third place in the National League East Division with a record of 15-18. 
 The Nationals got a big at-bat from left fielder Jeff Luvisi. For the game, Luvisi went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run  double. His 5th double of the season gave Washington a 6-5 lead.
