					| Red Sox Dump White Sox, 3-1 |
					| In a low-scoring game between the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago White Sox, pitcher J.J. Dean was masterful on the mound. The Boston right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Dean, now 4-2. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9. Danny Schneible picked up the save, his 1st.
Kevin McCormic Jr. dealt the White Sox a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Boston leading 1-0, McCormic Jr., who finished 2nd in the AL in hits with 179 last year, hit a full count sinker for a run-scoring single.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said McCormic Jr.. "And not try to do too much."

The win elevated the Red Sox to 22-13.
