Danville Takes Wildcards Series Friday, November 2nd , 2046 Danville Tim Molchan couldn't hide his reaction when asked about being named MVP of the Wildcards Series. "It's a nice honor," he said, failing to suppress a wide smile. The trophy was presented to Molchan moments after his club eliminated the San Francisco (APP) Giants to advance to the Division Series . Danville won the final game by a score of 11-8 at American Legion Field and took the series 4-1. "We won the series and that's the main thing," Molchan said. "They were a tough team and we didn't want to take anything for granted." For the series, Molchan hit .385 with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs. "He was tough to stop and that's a big reason they're there and we're here," said a dejected San Francisco (APP) manager . The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcards Series finishes. |
