Idaho Falls's Cortez NYP Star of the Week Monday, August 27th , 2046 Marcos Cortez is respected by most Idaho Falls Chukars fans for his no-frills style of play. The 23-year-old second baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the McNamara Division Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .389 average (7-for-18) with 5 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. So far this year Cortez has 11 home runs and a .211 batting average. |
