Welsh Swings for the Cycle Saturday, July 28th , 2046 Porter Welsh of the Vancouver Canadians helped his club in a big way today, hitting for the cycle in their 11-2 win against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. The 4 hits, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored for Welsh led the way for the Canadians. "It was just a perfect day at the ballpark," Welsh said later. Porter Welsh hit a solo-shot off Andrew Telles in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 4th and singled in the 6th. This season Welsh has 6 home runs and a .345 batting average. |
