Champagne's Condition Worse, Suffers Another Setback Friday, September 28th , 2046 A frustrated Antoine Champagne told reporters today that he would be out an additional 2 weeks after suffering a relapse in his recovery from an elbow sprain. "I thought my recovery was coming along great, but then this happened," the Cedar Rapids Kernels reliever revealed. "It's disappointing. I expected to be back with the team by now." To this point in the season, Champagne has rung up 8 saves in 10 relief appearances. He has also crafted a 1.12 ERA, no wins and 1 loss and 38 strikeouts in 24 innings. |
