Greensboro Shuts Out Binghamton Behind Lopez, 2-0 Thursday, September 6th , 2046 21-year-old Greensboro Grasshoppers pitcher Jorge Lopez had a strong outing against the Binghamton Mets at NYSEG Stadium today, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 13 in the 2-0 win and walked 1 while surrendering 3 hits. "Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us," he said. On the season Lopez has compiled a 7-8 mark with a 3.65 ERA in 28 starts. In pitching 140.2 innings he has 119 strikeouts and 64 walks while limiting the opposition to a .259 batting average. |
