Flying Tigers Come up Short of Playoffs Saturday, January 13th , 2046 Josh E. Bell, the manager of the Lakeland Flying Tigers, said his players are "devastated" to have missed the playoffs. Today it became official -- the club has run out of games and was mathematically eliminated from qualifying. The Flying Tigers have missed the playoffs 29 times in their 30 years as a California Winter League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 28th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2017. |
