Kubo NL's Top Player for 2045 Saturday, November 11th , 2045 The future looks extremely bright for Osamu Kubo. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in Eastern League. Kubo has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the National League Most Valuable Player Award. "I didn't expect to hit .305 this year, that's for sure," the left fielder said. The Reading Fightin Phils star also put up a .398 on-base percentage this year, with 162 hits, 37 doubles, 9 triples, 18 home runs, 80 RBIs and 109 runs scored. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Bobby Arevalo of the Mobile BayBears finished second in voting, while Eddie Quinones of the Colorado (EL) Rockies finished third.
