AL Starter of the Month Goes to Aguilar Sunday, July 1st , 2046 In June, when the name of Eric Aguilar appeared on the Scranton WB lineup card it was a virtual lock on a victory. He started 5 times and chalked up 4 wins and 1 loss. With those stats it was also a virtual lock that he would be named the American League Pitcher of the Month. Aguilar shackled opposing batters on 13 base hits and a .116 batting average. He rang up 32 strikeouts in 34 innings of work, surrendered 13 walks and fashioned a sparkling 1.06 ERA. Currently Aguilar has a 7-8 won-lost record in 16 starts with a 2.92 ERA. He also has 96 strikeouts in 98.2 innings. |
