Franklin Pitches 6-0 Shutout for Toledo Thursday, May 17th , 2046 In an outstanding mound performance, Toledo Mud Hens starter Caleb Franklin fired a complete-game shutout against the Durham Bulls at Fifth Third Field today. Franklin was the key to the Mud Hens's 6-0 win. The 24-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 4 hits and 1 walk he allowed. "4 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." For the season Franklin has logged 3 wins and 2 losses and struck out 43 batters in 57.1 innings while compiling a 2.35 ERA. |
