					| Yankees Hand Angels 5-3 Loss |
					| The New York Yankees faced a tough opponent in California pitcher Ben Sedlacek, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Angel Stadium of Anaheim by a final score of 5-3. Sedlacek went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. New York reliever Dave Barry picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Ben Sedlacek absorbed the loss. The save went to Joel Pacheco, his 2nd this season.
It could have been a different outcome for New York, had it not been for Jim Skare, the 25-year old first baseman . Skare contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the ninth inning to put New York up, 5-3.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Skare.

 California falls to 5-5.
