					| Diamondbacks Sneak Past Cardinals, 4-3 |
					| Crowds lined up early in front of Chase Field, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2046 Major League Baseball season. On the mound was Nate Crow for the visiting St. Louis Cardinals and Marcus Wolfe for the hometown Arizona Diamondbacks. In a spirited contest, the Diamondbacks pulled out the win, defeating the Cardinals by the score of 4-3. Especially impressive was Marcus Wolfe. Arizona reliever Rich Ortega got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Bryan Banana was tagged with the loss.
Shiro Suehiro was the walk-off hero for Arizona. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Diamondbacks designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said St. Louis manager Jeff Jones Jr.. "The effort was great."
