					| Reds Snag 6-3 Win |
					| The Atlanta Braves inaugurated the 2046 campaign with a disappointing 6-3 loss to the Cincinnati Reds at Turner Field. Cincinnati second baseman Dave Barefoot had a big impact on the outcome. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. Cincinnati pitcher Westin Silveira got the win. He's now 1-0. Kevin Ovens-Toots was tagged with the loss. The save went to Ryan Terlizzi, number 1 for him.
Cincinnati used the clutch hitting of Juan Reyes to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Reds the lead, 6-3. For the game, Reyes had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.

Reyes called the triumph "a good team win."
