					| Wrigley Field was the site of a competitive game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs. 
 Chicago picked up a win at Wrigley Field, toppling the Pittsburgh Pirates, 1-0. Pitcher Steve DiDomenico was one of the reasons the Cubs triumphed. George Poirier earned save number 37 this season.
 
 In the bottom of the fifth, Chicago shortstop Yasuhide Kasahara had a productive at-bat. With  runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Kasahara stroked a run-scoring  single to left. It made the score 1-0, Chicago. For the game, he was 1 for 4.
 
 "Can't say enough about our pitching," said Kasahara.
 
 Chicago goes to 81-75, Pittsburgh to 100-56.
